Organisers of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November have announced the event's package of support races, which will take place over the course of the final weekend of the Formula One season. GP2 Asia, the Porsche Supercup and Chevrolet Supercars will all be adding to the spectacle.
As the Yas Marina facility prepares for its first F1 outing at the end of the season, drivers will be handed with the added task of learning a new track configuration before heading into what could be this year's title-deciding race. The end of one championship will be the beginning of another, however, as GP2 Asia kicks off.
"We are delighted to have the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup, GP2 Asia Series and Chevrolet Supercars Middle East Challenge included on the race schedule for the Formula One weekend," said Richard Cregan, CEO of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management. "This is a world-class line up to have at our inaugural Grand Prix."
